What is the cost of a headshot session?
The cost of a session depends on duration and how many shots you want to walk away with. You can view our packaged session options HERE or for custom shoot options send us an email to: [email protected]
What types of headshots do you specialize in?
We specialize in actor headshots (and portraits for all types of creative talent), corporate and executive portraits, author portraits and headshots for linkedIn and business owners.
Do you have experience taking headshots for actors?
Julian Dolman has over 20 years experience in photographing actors and offers strategy session’s on zoom pre shoot to map out an action plan he also has connections/referrals for reputable agents and actor training.
Do you offer group or team headshot sessions for businesses?
Yes at headshot photographer we offer full team shoots and they can be booked either in our East Brunswick Studio or at your workplace.
Do you offer group rates for multiple people in the same photoshoot?
Yes we offer bulk rate shoot options for teams of 5 or more people.

How long will it take to receive the final images after the photoshoot?
Once the shoot is completed you will receive a proof gallery within 3 business days and once you make selections they will generally be finalized within 5 business days. If there is a deadline you are working to please be sure to let us know before you book and we will let you know if we can supply within the timeframe specified.
How many final images will I receive from the photoshoot?
This will be determined by the package you book and or how many are agreed upon if it’s a custom photoshoot booking. As a guide between 3 and 10 shots is what most of our previous clients have opted for.
Do you offer retouching or editing services for my headshots?
We complete light/natural retouching to skin, eyes and stray hairs as part of our inhouse retouching services as well as cropping and color management. We also work with a commercial retouching service for more complex edits should they be needed. Cost for custom edits will depend on what is required and how many shots are being edited.
Do you provide digital copies of the final images?
Digital copies of final images are supplied via a google drive link where you can download a high res print ready version and also a low res version optimized for online usage.
Can you provide headshots in different sizes and formats?
We generally supply selected headshots in high resolution for printing and lower resolution that are optimized for online usage. We will also supply cropped versions (at no charge) for linkedIn and social media and also banner crops when it’s possible/appropriate to the format of the original images.
ON THE DAY
How long does a typical headshot session take?
A session can generally run for between 1 and 2 hours if you want a few different looks/setups. They can also be booked as just a quick session of 15-30 mins (this is great if you just need 1 setup without too many clothing changes.
Can you provide a studio for the photoshoot?
We have a full service commercial studio in East Brunswick that is setup and ready to go with various background colors and headshot lighting setups.
Do you provide hair and makeup services?
Yes we can book your shoot with one of our preferred makeup artists onsite for the shoot to get you ready.. We work with a full team of experienced commercial, fashion and editorial stylists so we can match you with the right artist to suit what you want to achieve
Can I bring multiple outfits for the photoshoot?
Yes we recommend booking a shoot with enough time to capture some clothing changes, we can send some info prior to the shoot to help you get properly prepared.
Are you able to shoot headshots outdoors?
Yes we can shoot outside either around our studio as part of a studio session or at a location of your choice (a travel fee may apply if you want this option and cost will depend on where you want to shoot and whether council permits need to be obtained). Can I bring a friend or family member to the photoshoot?
If you want to bring a friend or family member to the shoot for morale support that’s no problem, we just ask that they respect the shoot process and do not direct over the top of the photographer.
Do you have a cancellation or rescheduling policy?
We are happy to reschedule shoots without charge assuming 48 hours notice is given. In circumstances where there is an unforeseen situation that arises and you cannot make the shoot we will happily offer a full credit of the deposit towards booking the next available date. If you don’t show up to the shoot without letting us know in advance it puts us out of work and you will therefore forfeit any deposit you have paid.
